About the Pattern
The Hug Hood is a combination of a cowl and a hood, knitted seamlessly from the top down in a ribbed pattern. First, stitches are cast on for the front of the hood, which is worked flat. Then, stitches are picked up on the sides, and the main part of the hood is shaped with increases at the back for a good fit. After some increases for the face opening, the work continues in the round. The face opening is finished with a ribbed edge. The neckline transitions smoothly into the yoke, which is later divided for the front and back. The work is finished flat with a ribbed edge.
