Woven Cable Cardigan

About the Pattern
The Woven Cable Cardigan is knitted seamlessly from
the top down using a saddle shoulder construction.
Short rows are first worked to shape the front neckline
while increases are worked simultaneously for the front
and back pieces. The saddles continue into the sleeves
and are shaped with increases. After the yoke, the body
and sleeves are worked separately.
Decorative borders with pintucks and a horizontal braid
line, as well as a cable pattern, are worked before the
piece is finished with a slipped-stitch rib pattern for the
hems. Stitches are picked up along the front edges for
the button band and worked in the slipped-stitch rib
pattern. For the neckline, stitches are picked up around
the neck opening, a horizontal braid line is worked, and
then the slipped-stitch rib pattern is continued.
Finally, buttons are sewn onto the button band.

Copenhagen Fibers “Baby Alpaca Blend”
(50% alpaca, 35% cotton, 15% wool (merino); 110 m / 50 g):
500, 500, 550 (650, 700, 750) 800, 900, 950 g in Humbley
(Col. 22).
One circular needle 3.5 mm and one circular needle 5
mm,
4 stitch markers,
6, 6, 6 (6, 6, 6) 7, 7, 7 buttons with a diameter of 20 mm.

Gauge
Stockinette stitch: 17.5 sts and 23.5 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm
with 5 mm needles.
Cable pattern: 23 sts and 27 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm with 5
mm needles.
Border height: 2 cm.

Über die Anleitung
Der Woven Cable Cardigan wird nahtlos von oben nach
unten mit einer Sattelschulter-Konstruktion gestrickt.
Zunächst werden verkürzte Reihen gearbeitet, um den
vorderen Halsausschnitt zu formen, und gleichzeitig erfolgen
Zunahmen an Vorder- und Rückenteilen. Die Sattel
gehen in die Ärmel über und werden durch Zunahmen
geformt. Rumpf und Ärmel werden nach der Passe
getrennt gestrickt, hier werden Borten aus Biese und
horizontaler Flechtlinie sowie ein Zopfmuster gearbeitet
bevor die Arbeit mit Hebemaschen-Rippenmuster für
die Säume beendet wird. Aus den Kanten der Vorderteile
werden Maschen für die Blende aufgenommen, diese
werden im Hebemaschen-Rippenmuster gearbeitet. Für
den Halsausschnitt werden Maschen aus dem Halsloch
aufgenommen, es wird eine horizontale Flechtlinie gearbeitet
und dann im Hebemaschen-Rippenmuster gestrickt.
Zum Schluss werden Knöpfe an die Knopfleiste
angebracht.
